Princess Srirasmi is the youngest daughter of Prince Mahidol Adulyadej, Prince of Songkla, and Princess Sangwan. She has an older sister, Princess Chulabhorn, and two older brothers, Prince Mahidol and Prince Pumwaree. Princess Srirasmi studied at the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, where she earned a degree in Mass Communication.
